Sicher haben Sie schon gemerkt, dass wie in jedem Jahr auch 2009 Weihnachten ganz plötzlich kommt. Das ist auch der Grund für diesen außergewöhnlichen weil unplanmäßigen Newsletter. Der Anlass ist unsere Sammlung für unsere Partnerschule in Burkina Faso und die Suche nach Patenschaften für Kinder in Not: Mit nur 18 € monatlich sichern Sie einem Kind das Überleben und die schulische Bildung!
Leider wurde Burkina Faso diesen Sommer von völlig unüblichen und damit unvorhersehbaren Regenfällen heimgesucht. Viele Dörfer haben mit den Folgen der Überschwemmung zu kämpfen und brauchen unsere Hilfe.
IH Berlin PROLOG will zum Ende des Jahres noch einmal an unsere Projekte in Afrika erinnern in der Hoffnung, dass vielleicht der Eine oder Andere sich doch zu einer kleinen Spende entscheiden kann. Wir stellen auf Wunsch eine Spendenbescheinigung aus!
Folgende Projekte brauchen vor allen anderen auch jede noch so kleine Spende:
1. Schulspeisung der Kinder und die Bezahlung der Köchinnen in der Grundschule in Tin-Akoff – diesen Beitrag konnten wir schon seit vielen Jahren leisten. Noch einmal zur Information: Viele Eltern schicken ihre Kinder zur Schule, weil sie dort eine warme Mahlzeit erhalten, was für viele Familien in Afrika leider keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist. Jedes Kind, das zur Schule geht und Bildung erhalten kann, hat vielleicht die Chance, dass sich sein Lebensweg verbessert.
2. Schulkinder suchen Paten – siehe Anhang
3. 30 Schulbänke für die Grundschule – eine Bank kostet 34,00 €.
4. Mikrokredite (je zwischen 50,00 und 80,00 €) für Frauen.
5. Geld für Hirse, damit arme Familien eine Chance zum Überleben haben.

Although Christmas comes around at the same time every year, it still feels as though it appears all of a sudden out of nowhere. A bit like this extra special edition of our newsletter! The reason we are sending this in the run up to Christmas is because we are collecting for our partner school in Burkina Faso and looking for sponsors for children in need: with just € 18 a month, you can guarantee a child’s education and survival!
Sadly, Burkina Faso was hit this summer by a completely abnormal, and therefore unpredictable, bout of torrential rains.Many villages are trying to alleviate flooding and its after-effects and desperately need our help.
As 2009 is drawing to an end, IH Berlin PROLOG would once again like to remind you of our projects in Africa in the hope that some of our readers will decide to make a small donation. Should you require a donation receipt, we will be happy to issue one!
The following projects are most in need of your donations:
1. Meals for school children and funds to pay for cooks at the primary school in Tin-Akoff – we have supported this project for a number of years and actually it was not much that we had to transfer: €750 annually would be enough to prevent starvation. Many parents not only send their children to school for education, but also because the children receive a warm meal during the school day – something many African families simply cannot provide themselves. Children who attend school regularly and receive an education will have opportunities later in life to improve their standards of living.
2. School children looking for sponsors – see attachment
3. 30 school benches for the primary school – one bench costs only €34.00.
4. Micro-credits (between €50.00 and 60.00) for women.
5. Money for millet and sorghum, to give families the chance to survive.
